I could also dedicate an older model iPAD too. Slides last a fixed 3.5 seconds which is not half bad. I do not rely much on cloud sources, I use big hard drives and manual saves at home from Western Digital.Actually the ROKU works well and offers streaming. I am well versed on MAC operating systems.Not much voltage draw, I wonder.Hmmm. Might be overkill but it would be small, flexible and easily connect to the seven year old Panasonic Viera.
The new ones mean the older models are down to around USD $500.00. A MAC mini with internal storage and able to load applications of all kinds. One that I just stumbled on in an e mail note, though not cheap, might be attractive nonetheless. I see there are possibilities I had not thought of.
